Trained in the Construction of Stringed and Renaissance Musical Instruments. This multi-instrumentalist, set the foundations of her musical career and rocketed into critical acclaim within the International Press along with gaining wide spread interest as far as America, in less than a year.

Having trained in a workshop for over 3 years on and off, Coogan learnt inner psychology of most stringed musical instruments, gaining a deep understanding and appreciation of both her instruments and music as a whole. Assembling instruments like harps, guitars, mandolins, bass, bouzouki’s, hurdy gurdy’s, cello’s and violin’s.

The sultry songstress has played in Ireland’s top venues, bars, clubs, festivals, concerts, alley ways, streets, stages, parties, hallways and doorways earning her legions of fans the world over. Sharing the lime light with the likes of Coldplay, U2 and Snow patrol, Linda Coogan’s song “Where I Belong” graced top music channel MTV2 in 2007. Exerting her own place amongst her Irish peers, she has played alongside bands such as Kila, The Pale, Mundy, Jaded Sun, Luan Parle, The Frames, Aslan and many others. Including doing a nationwide tour with Jack L.

Coogan appeared in Ireland’s best selling music magazine HOTPRESS as “Pick of the Fortnight“, chosen by none other than music journalist Jackie Hayden – the critic who famously got U2 signed. Then later appeared in the HOTPRESS Annual Magazine as “One of the TOP INDEPENDENT women” and “One to Watch for 2007”.

Gigging nationwide, signing a publishing deal in the US and co-producing a documentary on the Irish Music Scene, Coogan proves herself to be a fine candidate for the modern Independent musician, determined and eager to set the pace and raise the stakes not a little but ALLOT along the way.

Linda Coogan possesses an undeniable originality that exceeds her peer group. Her unique sounding Voice is flexible, wide-ranging, accurate and ageless. She can sing Sultry Ballads, Sweet Jazz and Rock n’ Roll all rolled into one.
